One guy once yelled at me because his coffee \u201cwasn\u2019t hot enough\u201d \u2014 even though I handed it to him straight from the machine.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when my shift manager, James (the owner\u2019s son), stepped in.<br \/>\u201cSir, is there a problem here?\u201d he asked. The guy ranted at him too, so James turned to me and said, \u201cOP, this is unacceptable. You\u2019re fired.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"in_article\"><\/div>\n<p>I played along. \u201cPlease, no! But watching rude customers suddenly feel guilty? Priceless. We\u2019ve done it a few times now \u2014 and it works almost every time.<\/p>\n<p>Some friends think it\u2019s mean to let them leave believing they got someone fired. But honestly?
