When the delivery driver arrived, I called my dog back and put him inside, only to realize I\u2019d left the gate locked. Moments later, she was parked outside, still watching. Ten minutes later, two police cars pulled up \u2014 she had reported me for stealing \u201ca white person\u2019s dog.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/guruofthebeauty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/fb7-2.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n<p>All I wanted after a long day was to relax on the couch with delivery food. While I waited outside for the driver, my Golden Retriever was in my neighbor\u2019s yard playing with her dog through our shared doggy door.<\/p>\n<p>When the driver pulled up, I called my dog back inside, waved to her, and told her to leave the food by the mailbox. She asked if the dog was mine, and I happily said yes, even offering for her to say hello. She dropped the food, got back in her car\u2026 and stayed parked outside.<\/p>\n<p>Minutes later, two police cars arrived. The officers explained she\u2019d reported a \u201cstolen Golden Retriever\u201d at my address. They were respectful and quickly confirmed the dog was mine \u2014 his collar tag had my name and address.<\/p>\n<div class=\"in_article\"><\/div>\n<p>As they were leaving, the driver came back, sobbing and claiming \u201cmy kind\u201d only owns pit bulls and rottweilers, so the retriever couldn\u2019t be mine. I let the police handle her.<\/p>\n<p>Dinner was still hot, my dog was safe, and thanks to some delivery credits, I ended the night with a slice of carrot cake.
